“RUN!” bellowed Scurvy turning on his heels. The rest of the crew did what their captain ordered.
“Wait! What about us!” cried one of the runaways, still tied to the spit.
“Let them eat you!” Scurvy called back.
After the army of hostile natives had disappeared after the crew, one of the elders stood on the rock that only the elders could stand on and said, “I’m not that hungry after eating that elephant today anyway. Just leave them there and we’ll eat them for breakfast tomorrow.”
